Sleep Disruption

Trouble getting a good night’s sleep is a very common complaint during midlife and the menopausal transition. While disruptive night sweats are a major culprit, other factors can also interfere with restorative rest. Some individuals find it difficult to fall asleep, wake up too early, or struggle to fall back asleep after waking in the middle of the night. A heightened sense of urinary urgency can also contribute to these nighttime awakenings. The resulting fatigue can then exacerbate other menopausal symptoms like mood swings and brain fog, creating a challenging cycle that impacts daily functioning and quality of life.
